What is a console monosplit air conditioner
The console monosplit consists of a single floor-standing indoor unit, installed low near the floor and connected to a single outdoor unit. The indoor unit usually sits under the window, exactly where the radiator normally goes, and pushes air from the bottom upwards. It is the ideal solution for cooling and heating a single room, such as the living room, the bedroom or the study, with just one outdoor unit.
Why choose a console monosplit for a single room
When you need to climate-control one room, the console monosplit is the most straightforward choice: one console inside, one unit outside, with no complex configurations. By spreading warm air from the bottom, it heats the room evenly and is especially suited to using the heat pump as the main heating source for the room. If instead you need to cover several rooms with a single outdoor unit, consider a multisplit system.
Console or wall unit for your room
The console monosplit places the unit low, conveniently under the window, while the wall-mounted monosplit installs it high up. Choose the console when you have little wall space up high, high ceilings or large windows, or when you want the best heating performance. Want to compare every configuration of this type of unit? How many BTU you need for your room
The capacity is chosen based on the square metres and insulation of the room. Among the 55 models in the catalogue, you will mainly find these sizes:
- 9000 BTU, for rooms up to about 25 m², such as bedrooms and studies.
- 12000 BTU, for rooms from 25 to 35 m², such as medium-sized living rooms.
- 18000 BTU, for rooms from 35 to 50 m².
- 21000 and 24000 BTU, for very large rooms.
Running costs and energy class
Cooling efficiency is shown by the SEER value, while heating efficiency is shown by the SCOP: the higher these indices, the lower the running costs. Inverter technology modulates the output instead of constantly switching on and off, so it keeps the room temperature steady with low electricity draw, an important point since the console often works in heating mode too.
The best brands available
Among the 55 console monosplits, all ready to ship, you will find the leading manufacturers in the sector, with official warranty and available spare parts: Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Haier, LG, Hisense and Samsung. Prices range from the most affordable solutions to the highest-performing models.
Connected comfort and offers
Many console monosplits can be controlled from a smartphone and with a voice assistant: discover the smart air conditioners with Alexa and Google Home.
